Dorothea O'C. Wefing
Dorothea O’C. Wefing joins Castano Quigley as Of Counsel following her retirement after serving nearly twenty-eight years as a judge of the Superior Court. Ms. Wefing began her judicial career in 1984 when she was appointed to the bench by then-governor, Tom Kean. She served as a trial judge for ten years, primarily in the Civil Division in Hudson County. She also served in the General Equity Division in Essex County. In 1993, Chief Justice Robert Wilentz appointed her to the Appellate Division, where she ultimately became the Presiding Judge for Administration. In June 2011, Chief Justice Stuart Rabner appointed her to serve temporarily on the New Jersey Supreme Court. She sat as a member of that Court until her retirement in October 2012.
